The word glycemia denotes the glucose concentrations in the bloodstream. It is a current term that you will come across throughout the website or when speaking about diabetes with your doctor or other diabetics. So if your doctor asks you what your glycemia in the morning was, he is asking about the morning values of blood glucose concentrations which you measured by the glucometer. It is given in milimoles per liter (abbreviated as mmol/l).
